Topic: Going Mobile with Office 365
Wherever you are at right now, the one thing you probably have with you is your phone. Right? In fact, you may even be reading this abstract on your phone. You are not alone, researchers at Baylor University polled hundreds of college students regarding their cellphone habits; they found that women spent an average of 10 hours/day on their phones, men spent eight hours/day, and 60 percent of the participants admitted to being “addicted to their devices” (getting agitated when their phones weren’t in sight, etc). Well, Office 365 has responded to this predilection with a host of mobile apps.
Come join me as we immerse ourselves in the world of O365 mobile apps. All attendees will be provided credentials to login to a pre-populated tenancy. We probably will not get to all of these apps, but we will get thru more of them if attendees pre-install the apps on their mobile phone or tablet:
- Microsoft Apps
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote (not Microsoft Office Mobile)
- OneNote Badge
- Microsoft Outlook
- Outlook Groups
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft OneDrive (not Microsoft Groove)
- Office Delve
- Skype for Business
- Office Lens
- Sway (only on iOS)
- Office 365 Admin
Apps for another time:
- Office Remote
- Arrow Launcher
- Skype (consumer)
- Bing Search
- Intune Company Portal
- Intune Managed Browser
- Dynamics 365
- Project Online

Don’t Attend Virtually
Attending virtually is not the best choice this month. We will provide a link to virtually attend the meeting via Skype for Business (URL is case sensitive), but due to the hands-on nature of this month’s topic, we highly recommend being physically in the room:
If you decide to join virtually anyway, enter your name into the Guest textbox and click the Join the meeting button.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
